French Trix Express
‘CLAIRBOURG’ Station
Back in May 2006 an article appeared in issue No. 122 of the French toy magazine ‘La Vie du Jouet’ which caused quite a stir in the world of Trix collecting. It featured a fine and very rare example of a wooden station with electric lighting produced in 1938 for Gobin-Daudé who held the franchise for Trix production in France.
A translation of the article appeared in the Trix-Twin Railway Collectors’ Association magazine, the TTRCA Gazette No. 125 of December 2006.
Here the two articles have been combined with additional new information and pictures about a version of the station without lighting which has recently been discovered.
